    AESTHETIC DENTAL RESTORATION

    Description

The patient was unhappy with the appearance of her front teeth but was not in favour of a drastic treatment that would shorten the age of her teeth. The treatment at the Clinic was carried out in a minimally intrusive way using aesthetic fillings (Dr Sandra Skuodaitė) and ultra-thin porcelain laminates (Dr Raimondas Savickas). Performed by Dentist-Endodontist Sandra Skuodaitė and Dentist-Orthopaedic Surgeon Raimondas Savickas

About TREATMENT

No longer pleased with the colour, shape or alignment of your teeth? Or perhaps you need to restore teeth that have been severely affected by decay, chipped, worn or otherwise damaged? Using meticulous aesthetic filling techniques or micro-prosthetics with laminates, we can improve the beauty and functionality of your smile. In addition, in our quest for harmony between aesthetics and the preservation of natural teeth, we always select the extent of aesthetic restoration on an individual basis and ensure precision during the treatment by using optical magnification devices. If necessary, we also perform gum contouring to ensure more beautiful teeth proportions. Regardless of the type of restoration, we always strive to create the most natural shape, colour and alignment of artificial teeth in the mouth.

AESTHETIC DENTAL RESTORATION: WHAT ARE THE STAGES OF SMILE DESIGN?

How do we perform this treatment?

When performing aesthetic dental restoration, we aim to preserve your healthy dental tissue. To ensure that you are truly satisfied with the result, we invite you to ‘try on’ your future smile before the treatment. If your teeth are healthy and only need to be brightened to achieve the desired result, thorough surface pigment removal or extra-safe whitening are performed.

  • 01

    INITIAL CONSULTATION

During the first appointment, the condition of your oral health is thoroughly assessed, your face and smile are examined, and the image of your smile in photographs is discussed.

  • 02

    TREATMENT PLAN

Aesthetic dental restoration professionals at our clinic will listen to your expectations, draw up a treatment plan and estimate the cost of treatment.

  • 03

    TRYING THE SMILE ON

Depending on the situation, we create a smile prototype either digitally or from wax, which is then transferred onto your teeth by means of a special material. Apart from making it possible for you to assess the appearance of your future smile in advance, this service also gives you the opportunity to adjust it according to your preferences.

  • 04

    TREATMENT

During the treatment, aesthetic filling is performed or dental laminates, made in the laboratory according to your individual shape, are attached to your teeth. The duration of the treatment depends on the extent of restoration.

D.U.K.

Both aesthetic filling and the application of laminates or other micro-prostheses are painless treatments performed under local anaesthesia. For your greater comfort, we always numb the mucous membrane with topical anaesthetics before the needle is injected.

A laminate is a very thin restoration, approximately 0.5 mm thick, and its attachment preserves the natural tooth structure to the maximum extent possible.

After aesthetic dental restoration, it is necessary to follow proper daily oral hygiene, which will be explained to you by the professionals at our clinic, and to have regular appointments with a dental hygienist for professional cleaning. For your new restorations to last longer, it is important to make some changes to your lifestyle. After aesthetic filling, we recommend avoiding staining foods and smoking, not using whitening or abrasive toothpastes, and occasionally having your teeth polished. After tooth restoration with laminates, we advise against biting very hard foods and, if you grind your teeth, a protective mouthguard should be worn at night.
