About TREATMENT

Gingival inflammation, also known as gingivitis, is an unpleasant condition that usually develops due to inadequate oral hygiene. In this case, treatment methods focus on oral hygiene: both professional cleaning at the clinic and proper daily care at home. If the diagnosis reveals that the actual cause of gingival inflammation is not dental, we will refer you to specialists in other medical fields for further diagnosis.

HOW TO SPOT GINGIVAL INFLAMMATION?

Painful, swollen, bleeding, red or even purple gums and bad breath are signs that indicate possible gingival inflammation.

How do we perform this treatment?

We have been specialising in periodontology for over 25 years. As a result, we only use methods that have been proven effective in long-term practice to restore gum health: before starting treatment, we always identify the actual causes of gingival inflammation, perform particularly thorough oral hygiene using optical magnification tools, and help you improve your daily dental care skills.

D.U.K.

Gingivitis is usually treated by means of non-surgical methods for which one or several visits to the dentist are sufficient depending on the condition. A few weeks after treatment, bleeding of the gums decreases or disappears completely, redness, sensitivity, unpleasant mouth odour and other undesirable sensations are gone too.

The most effective prevention of gingivitis is thorough daily and regular professional teeth cleaning. The dentist at our clinic will show you how to take proper care of your teeth. Everything you may need for it will be conveniently available at our clinic for purchase.

Gingivitis is a condition that typically develops due to poor oral care and is most often caused by soft and hard plaque that forms on the teeth and under the gums. If left untreated, this mild form of gum inflammation progresses and can eventually develop into periodontitis. Periodontitis, aka periodontal disease, is a chronic disease that affects the tissues surrounding the teeth: the gums, the periodontal ligament that holds the tooth to the bone, the jawbone itself and the outer covering of the tooth root. In advanced stages, there is a risk of tooth loss.
